From the reviews
I’m incredibly grateful to be working with Jim Salerno. He is phenomenal and I trust him wholeheartedly. He has helped me heal a back injury, regain mobility in my shoulders and alleviated intense pain through advanced myofascial release. Of all the LMBTs in WNC, Jim is my first choice.
Started seeing Caitlin for debilitating nerve pain from several lumbar disc herniations. She is very intelligent, accurately diagnosed where my body was causing me problems with a whole-body approach, discovering contributing issues that were never even alluded to by my orthopedist or PT.
I need a therapist who works deeply, and Sarah absolutely delivered. At my first appointment, we talked through my problem areas and she dove right in, getting to the source of so much held tension. I could feel release throughout the entire session.
I've been seeing Jim regularly for a few months and he has changed my life. He has helped heal my chronic neck and shoulder pain and I keep seeing him because of how wonderful he is for helping my overall health. I truly look forward to my sessions.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
