From the reviews
Christine Nordquist was a massage therapist at my salon years ago. I knew then she was exceptionally talented. Words cannot adequately describe the massage experience I recently had. Christine took time to examine my body structure front, back, top to bottom, so she knew how to approach the massage.
I have been a client of Christine's for several years now. I continue to be amazed by her talent in recognizing where to massage though her touch and her analysis of posture. I often do not have to tell her where I need work as she usually figures it out without my input.
I have been working with Christine for the past 2 decades and highly recommend her healing touch. The gift of massage that I give myself each month provides a sense of wellness and offers preventative and therapeutic benefits. So grateful for her incredible skills!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
