From the reviews
Vita is one of the loveliest people I have met in my 74 years of living. Her treatment sessions of acupuncture and cupping are relaxing and help me get some relief from chronic muscle pain.My 78 year old husband says the acupuncture has loosened him up to walk and feel like he did as a teenager.
Vita is such a professional practitioner, yet so warm and compassionate at the same time. I feel very safe when she's treating me; she is gentle and skilled in her technique. She has helped me get back to balance many times over the years; whether I'm receiving treatments for physical pain, hormonal balance, or stress.
Vita is a critical part of my recovery team from Rotator Cuff Surgery....Vita is compassionate, an excellent listener of what is ailing you that moment, super talented and studied in the arts of Acupuncture, Qua Sha and Cupping.
What an incredible find! Arnica Acupuncture and Wellness was recommended to me by my husband who worked with Vita before and after his shoulder surgery. He had such a positive experience that I decided to make an appointment.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
