Why ANNSHENG Chinese Medicine Clinic is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “dried moxa plant in the shape of a cigar are burned very near the surface of the skin. The heat will penetrate the skin to achieve the therapeutic effect. We found this especially effectively for fetal maldispositions. Cupping This…” source →

What clients say about the cupping here
“Even for long lingering back pain or other injuries most of the time simple acupuncture can heal it within a couple days or that day.”
“Men off and on for a couple of years now, and she is by far the best acupuncturist I've been to (and I've been to a lot).”
From the reviews
I’m so happy I found Dr. Men! She has been helping me a lot with my skin, digestive, stress, and back pain issues these past couple months. She is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and very passionate about TCM.
Dr.Men is one of the best acupuncturists in the bay area. She has a lifetime of expertise from her training in China that she brought over to the U.S. She also teaches acupuncture, sharing her decades of knowledge. She cares deeply about every patient, and thinks through their issues.
I've been seeing Dr. Men off and on for a couple of years now, and she is by far the best acupuncturist I've been to (and I've been to a lot). No one is better at alleviating my tension headaches. Take your herbs, follow her advice, and you'll be better for it.
Very intuitive & friendly. Helped to heal my neck pain and lower stress.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
