From the reviews
If you’re looking for someone who truly understands the body and the nervous system, I can’t recommend Lauren enough. She has an incredible gift for creating a space where your body can finally exhale.
Corrie is phenomenal! She has helped me through my cancer treatment and beyond. She always knows exactly what my body needs, and demonstrates kindness as well as professionalism. I highly recommend this place!
Definitely recommend. I went in for a maternity massage I’m 8 months along. The set up was really nice very comfortable. I was very relaxed the whole time walked out feeling a lot better and relaxed.
I really enjoy being seen by Corrie and Lauren at Anchorage Massage Therapies. Both of them provide a warm and safe environment for me to relax and benefit from their amazing skills to find the tight muscles in my body and help my lymphatic system.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
