From the reviews

Rose was my masseuse in Denver for several years and she is absolutely the best! She was great at adjusting my massages (and cupping) based on what my body needed at that time, and she'd give me tips on how to stretch and keep things flexible between appointments.

★★★★★ — Holly, Jun 2020

I work at a computer all day during the week and mountain bike on the weekends, which makes for interesting muscle soreness patterns. Tight shoulders, back, and legs have been my life for as long as I can remember.

★★★★★ — Russell, May 2020

I absolutely loved working with Rose. I did a 2 hour massage with her and it was everything I hoped it to be. She worked through my soreness and concrete block of a back, even included cupping since I was open to it. The office and her massage room are so relaxing and beautiful.

★★★★★ — Colleen, Sep 2020

Rose is an amazing therapist! I saw her for some hip and leg pain that I have from snowboarding. Her massage techniques and cupping were exactly what I needed to feel better, have less pain and get back out on the slopes.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
