From the reviews

I have been seeing Katie sonce January 2017. I work at a desk job, and have had neck and shoulder tension for years. No masseuse I went to could help work the deep knots and issues I was having, and it was affecting my performance at work.

★★★★★ — Ashley, Apr 2017

Dr. Katie Ngan is a shining example of what all practitioners should aspire to be. While working with her it is apparent that she truly has your best interests at heart. She will use every tool available to her to help you along your journey to recovery.

★★★★★ — Jordan, Jul 2017

I wish I could give Dr. Katie 6 stars! I started seeing Dr. Katie regularly in the summer of 2018 when my partner and I began our fertility journey. Dr. Katie’s calm presence, professionalism, and natural healing ability gave me the wellness boost I needed to successfully conceive in just three months.

★★★★★ — Caitlin, Jul 2019

Dr. Katie is one of the finest, technically competent, and reliable doctors I've had the pleasure of being treated by. Her acupuncture treatments made a huge difference in my recovery from a car accident.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
