From the reviews

Rose Puente truly has changed my life. I attended a workshop she offered at my gym for injury prevention, sought help from her in battling ongoing low back and shoulder pain, and have taken advantage of numerous cupping/myofascial brushing/red-light massages.

★★★★★ — Erin, Mar 2024

Dr. Rose is highly skilled, and has a great concern for her patient's well-being. She has helped me tremendously with chronic hip and neck issues (for which I've had other PT in the past, but never with such good results).

★★★★★ — Jennifer, Aug 2024

My back pain had been a problem for a while... All along, I considered the majority of the pain to be "normal" - Pain is NOT normal! Thank you Dr. Rose, for truly helping me understand and correct the exact cause of my back pain, and also greatly improving my posture.

★★★★★ — Sam, Sep 2021

Gentle, thorough, detailed, dedicated, and so very knowledgeable are words that describe Rose at Agape Tree Therapy. I was experiencing a particularly rough bout of vertigo and with just one treatment from Rose the vertigo was gone!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
