Staff are awesome!! other than one has never had a cup of coffee. And the other, drinks, but never had a beer. Yes, they have their flaws but, I wouldn't want my therapy anyplace else. 😁
I work in medicine, so I know a lot of the different area providers for physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech, etc. I had never heard of this place. I was injured at work and Agape was recommended to me by my doctor.
I recently underwent a PT program here to recover from a shoulder injury; my therapist Abbey Pettit was incredible! She’s very kind, understanding, moves at the pace that your body can adapt to, and I would trust her with my care, and the care of my loved ones, any day!
I am impressed with the state of the art equipment used at the Agape, Chili Center location. I have had the pleasure of having Abbey as my PT. She is kind, very knowledgeable, professional and attentive.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
