I came to Adriana’s because she specializes in both massage and reflexology which is not a common combination. I am so happy that I did! Adriana’s massage and reflexology techniques have made such a big difference for me. I have major low back and foot/ankle pain.
After a fair amount of research & talking with friends I have made in Sandpoint (we’ve lived here a year), I made my first appointment with Adriana. I just had my second massage with her and I can’t be more pleased.
I am a frequent consumer of medically directed massage, acupuncture, and manual therapies. Adriana is one of the best massage therapists I have experienced. She is skilled in multiple modalities including stretching, fascial manipulation, trigger point release, deep tissue massage, and cranial-sacral therapy.
I am so glad that a friend referred me to Adriana for a massage and reflexology appointment. She is very professional and and has studied many techniques and knew exactly what my situation was in need of. I would give her a six stars if it was available.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
