From the reviews
I have had acupuncture before and none of them were successful. However, my wife encouraged me to come see Lynda Bess as she has been seeing her and praises her as if she was GOD herself. Being skeptical, I did set myself with an appointment to see Lynda.
Never let your fear of needles stop you from receiving acupuncture! I had sciatica that brought me to Acupuncture Associates in Castle Rock. The first day I used a wheel chair to get into the facility. I was met with kind, gentle and professional people. They immediately evaluated me and started a treatment right away.
Acupuncture Associates of Castle Rock, specifically Rebecca Baker, has had an extremely positive impact on my health. I was concerned over several issues and not getting feedback, dialogue or curiosity with my western medicine practitioners.
I have seen Rebecca several times for acupuncture and always had an amazing, healing experience. She is very skilled and knowledgable and provides highly individualized care, but what really shines through, is the respect and compassion, that she shows during every treatment.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
