From the reviews
When I first visited Acuhaus, I'd never had acupuncture or cupping before but I was suffering from some different issues that I thought I'd see if she could help me with. I tried out her free first session (what a deal). Now, not only am I a member, but so is my son! Recently, I came into Dr.
I have had multiple appointments with Dr. Mia and always feel so rejuvenated and relaxed after the acupuncture and cupping. She is also amaaaazzzinggg at cupping and has helped relieve my back tense immensely. Highly recommend seeing Dr. Mia here!
I have been going to AcuHaus for acupuncture for about a year and a half. Dr. Angie is amazing. If you are looking for an incredibly experienced acupuncturist look no further! Dr. Angie has helped my anxiety, tendinitis, as well as relieving some gut issues I have been dealing with for years.
I started receiving acupuncture when Angie first started Acuhaus and absolutely love it! Angie truly made me feel cared for and I love the additional healing modalities with herbs, gua sha, and cupping that have made a big difference in my health. I highly recommend Acuhaus!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
