I have been seeing Dr. Lee weekly for over six months. I started seeing her because I had an undeserved yet painful tennis elbow. I had tried everything. After a couple of months, my elbow was pain free. Since then, she treats various aches but mostly helps me with stress management.
Dr. Lee is a wonderful provider. She is extremely knowledgeable about the human body both inside and out. I came to Dr. Lee looking for relief of both anxiety and joint pain from Rheumatoid Arthritis and in just a few weeks, I have noticed a significant difference in how I feel.
Dr. Lee did a lot to relieve ancillary symptoms in my hands caused by a neck condition that has plagued me for 2 years. She is professional, kind, and clearly knows what she's doing. I was skeptical going in, as I had never used accupuncture before, and only wanted to do one treatment.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
