From the reviews

AJ is the very best. I recommend him to everyone I know and they all see great results. He is one of the few practitioners I’ve gone to that I know I will start feeling better immediately after an appointment.

★★★★★ — Heidi, Feb 2025

AJ is AMAZING! He is my go-to for any sort of ache, pain, or body mishap. His knowledge of anatomy, muscle movement, and sports massage gives him the ability to not just make you feel better for a time, but to truly heal you. He is also incredibly generous with his prices and time.

★★★★★ — Kelsey, Feb 2025

I was dealing with painful back and neck issues and was able to get a same-day appointment with AJ. His expertise in sports massage and physical therapy made a noticeable difference—I felt significant relief after just one session.

★★★★★ — Dan, Mar 2025

I have been going to Absolute Movement to see AJ on and off for a while now. I don’t know exactly how he does what he does, but it works like magic! He pairs sports massage with energy work and it leaves me feeling better than I do after most other kinds of therapy. 10/10 would recommend!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
