From the reviews

I had varying degrees of shoulder, neck and back pain for many years and didn't believe that Acupuncture could help me. A number of friends had recommend it to me but not until my primary care physician recommend this practice to me did I take it.

★★★★★ — Glenn, May 2014

First thing to note - she actually moved from this location.... Second thing to note - I had been having chronic headaches due to tension in my neck and shoulders for over 2 months. No massage therapist was able to help for more than a day.

★★★★★ — Whitney, Sep 2020

I suffer from Sciatica and tried conventional treatment to no avail. Dr. Li Jie Chu McGimsey is a true healer and through accupuncture and massage she has alleviated my pain and suffering. I highly recommend her!

★★★★★ — Betty, Aug 2015

Li Jie knows what she is doing. Her therapy fixed my leg injury quickly. I decided to try acupuncture after traditional medicine could not help. I should have done it earlier. After a few sessions my leg feels much better.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
