From the reviews
I have nothing but great things to say about A Touch of Ginger. I found this place of healing through Google searches for a Chinese herbal medicine doctor. Everything about A Touch Of Ginger is exactly what I need. The space is calming and inviting.
Ginger came highly recommended by a friend of mine, after I experienced tooth pain from two root canals. Before I even met Ginger she took time to correspond with me via email and answer my questions. She was extremely personable and thorough. My initial visit far exceeded my expectations.
I have never felt better about investing in my health. A Touch of Ginger is so lovely to visit —everyone is so kind , it is so cute and clean . I get individualized attention and feel so confortable partnering with the professionals here !!
I’ve been dealing with spontaneous, chronic lower back pain since July 4th, which resulted in a 6-day stay in the ER. I tried everything—pain meds, injections, physical therapy—but nothing truly addressed the pain or restored my mobility. Then, on March 11th, I had my first appointment with Ginger.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
