From the reviews
I had a wonderful acupuncture and cupping session with Aiko!! She was so kind and easy to get along with, she really helped me feel comfortable for my first acupuncture experience. She customized my treatment and even taught me a couple points I can massage at home.
Jeremy has been steadily supportive throughout my wellness journey. On my first visit, I walked in with bright orange hair—it was actually a wig, since I had lost my hair during chemo. I had no idea how much these sessions would help.
Kanani is the BEST acupuncturist in the history of the Planet(s); Zen acupuncture is so lucky to have her. I am telling you to go see her if you want to take care of yourself and heal yourself from head to toes. She is efficient and effective.
I’m currently undergoing chemotherapy and dealing with sciatic pain, so I wanted to find a way to help with my healing process and get some relief. Courtney, my acupuncturist, was incredibly kind, understanding, and attentive to my needs.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
