What clients say about the cupping here
“Aponte for shoulder pain, and I was amazed at how quickly he was able to resolve it.”
“and thus I feel marked healing in my body and extreme clarity in my mind with her and her extraordinary expertise in going right where it counts with needle depth and placement.”
“He takes thorough notes to see how things have been in between the sessions and is a great listener to help determine what would be best with what your body is telling you at this moment.”
“For me I need deep intense treatment, and I feel energized and electric after each appointment instead of relaxed which is what I prefer, and she can do both!”
“The room I was in was very calming and clean — I especially enjoyed the white noise machine running in the background.”
“Xavier is very professional and genuinely wants to help with your short-term issues, but never forgets what the goal was when we sat down to talk the first time.”
From the reviews
…With regular visits using a combination of acupuncture, electrodes, and cupping, my pain has just about been eliminated in about a month! Dr. Xavier does a thorough job of addressing not just my neck pain, but any other issues I may be experiencing at that time.
Dr. Xavier Aponte is outstanding! I have a digestive disorder that has a host of ridiculous side effects. I tried standard medicine with a GI doctor for years, and all I received was even more side effects from medications and not much progress. However, over the last few months, I have been working with Dr.
Highly recommend Kanani at Zen Attitude in Bellevue! I started working with Dr. Xavier before he moved and was so thankful for our work together. Kanani has since taken over and I have been equally thrilled to receive such attentive care from an incredibly knowledgeable and considerate provider.
I just recently to this clinic and saw Kanani, who I highly recommend. She was GREAT. She took the time to listen to my concerns and made me feel very comfortable. My treatment was successful in relieving pain. I am excited to return and get more results.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
