This review is specifically for Ken, the man who massaged me. I ordered the 90 minute deep tissue massage with cupping. Upon the start of my 90 minute massage session, Ken worked with a sense of urgency to ensure I got my full 90 minutes worth.
I’m really satisfied with my experience at Young Again Massage Spa. There’s ton of parking in the lot and the staff was welcoming and accommodating. I booked an appointment a day prior and requested a masseuse with strong hands; the receptionist made note of this on my appointment profile.
I have been to Young Again Spa a few times and each time has been a great experience. The calming environment and pleasant scents upon entering make me more relaxed for the massage. The massages have been excellent each time. The therapists are respectful and tailored the massage to my needs.
I had a couples’s massage here and it was amazing! The place was sparkling clean and it smells of aromatherapy. Our masseuses were very kind and made adjustments to our liking as pressure goes and where to focus on. They were able to remove most of the stubborn knots on my shoulder.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
