Dr. Yuan genuinely cares about helping to resolve my long-term chronic back pain, SI joint pain, and body aches. The Chinese medicine modality which he determined would best suit my specific problems is called "Triple Treatment".
My first impression of Roy (Zuobiao) the Specialist and owner of this facility was completely pleasant. He is attentive, calming, and educated in his practices. The facility he operates is so clean and relaxing. I have had intense tmj pain for over a decade that I personally managed by stretches/self massage...
So glad I impulsively booked my consult. I didn't know acupuncture was so real. I've had ongoing pain for YEARS that he has been able to eliminate within a few treatments.
Roy (Yi) is amazing! I've been going to him for over a year now for all my aches and pains. I was in tears when I had tendinitis for a month before I was recommended for acupuncture. I sprained my ankle and it only took 3 visits and I'm back to normal.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
