From the reviews
I’ve had the pleasure of being treated by Courtney or Winter Wellness for years. She is knowledgeable and caring and I’ve had help with every single issue that I’ve brought to her acupuncture table! Stress, gut issues, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, ear clogging, and allergic bug bites! Yes - bug bites.
I jumped on the acupuncture train when I realized I was completely accident prone and also needed to start taking care of myself. Courtney made it completely scare free to try and fall in love with this amazing ancient type of medicine.
As someone who suffers from severe migraines, I was skeptical about the benefits of acupuncture the first time I stepped into Courtney’s office several years ago, but that skepticism quickly dissipated. Courtney is incredibly professional, calming, and patient.
Unbelievable experience. Stepping into Courtney’s office was like a comfortable and cozy spa. At first I was a bit nervous to have acupuncture. Courtney put me right at ease.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
