From the reviews

If you're considering acupuncture, I can assure you it's absolutely worth it. I was initially apprehensive, but Kurt's welcoming demeanor put me at ease right away. His extensive knowledge of Chinese herbs is impressive.

★★★★★ — Anastasia, Nov 2024

Kurt takes the time to listen and ask questions. His gentle manner puts you at ease. He did a cupping session for stress across my shoulders and I almost cried with relief. I had no idea how bad it really was until that session. I need to go back!

★★★★★ — Melinda, Feb 2026

I will definitely return. This was my first experience with acupuncture. Kurt explained everything clearly and compassionately. I was nervous and I was concerned about any pain. I was stunned with how comfortable this was. I could barely feel the tiny, tiny needles.

★★★★★ — Beverly, Jul 2024

As a family, we have had Kurt work on an array of issues we have experienced as individuals. He is amazing! Totally recommend his services to everyone we know. The results we have had after being under Kurt's care are phenomenal.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
