From the reviews
I cannot say enough good things about Denise! Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, but also patient and explains things in a way that makes sense! I have seen MANY different types of doctors over the past 15 years and none have been able to accomplish what Denise has been able to accomplish in just 6 months!
Denise is the best! As an acupuncturist myself, I'm super picky about who treats me. She's warm, compassionate, extremely knowledgeable and is a master of her craft. In this industry, intuition plays an extremely important role in diagnosis and treatment.
Afraid of needles? No problem, Denise places them with intuitive precision, and a gentle approach. Denise is more than just an acupuncturist, she provides deep knowledge, wisdom, patience, concern, attentiveness, and passion. All within the comforts of a clean, quiet, warm loving space.
Denise is very caring and thorough in her approach to treatment. She has amazing bedside manner and takes all things said into account to make you comfortable and at ease. I would definitely recommend being treated by Denise if you have a very difficult ailment or one that seems simplistic.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
