I believe body care and exploring different therapies is so important. I have been going to Westchester Wellness for 3 months now with Dr. Yang and he has helped me with my right hip tension. He is thorough with his work and explains the process along the way. I also receive cupping and Chinese Herbs.
Osaze G. If I could give my Acupuncture Practitioner Dr. Julie Grados of the Westchester Wellness Center 7 Stars I would. Dr. Grados at Westchester Wellness Care is an absolutely exceptional practitioner! She is incredibly nice, professional, and genuinely helpful. What truly sets her apart is her deep concern for her patients' total wellness.
A very professional establishment. Clean, cozy, peaceful! I find such a relief during and after treatment. I enjoy being a returning client. Julie is patient and informative.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
