“For my gyrotonics/exercises, I worked with Wendy, Eric, Beth, and Alicia Parrish—all of them were wonderful, contributing different valuable perspectives as they guided my movements and recovery.”
From the reviews
WAV has changed my life I’m 68 years old and have been taking classes there for eight years I feel younger, stronger, my posture is better than when I was in my 20’s, My self esteem has become more evident Truthfully, I DESPISE exercising. When I started doing The Gyrotonic Method (look it up on YouTube) I was hooked.
I found my progress with PT (not at WAV) on my hip was going very slow. I decided to commit to regular sessions with Dr Jenna and am very happy to finally see increased and consistent signs of improvement in my hip and back. Dr Jenna is able to ask really good questions to get to the heart of my pain and issues.
Dr. P really knows his stuff on golf shoulder injuries!!! He mastered relieving the pain and prescribing key exercises to strengthen and prevent future problems. I know if I have any need for physical therapy, Dr. P is definitely the best! And an update on another family injury… Dr.
I loved my experience at WAV. I worked primarily with Dr. Jenna—she is very skilled, knowledgeable, caring, and a joy to talk with. I also got to work with Dr. Scott Parrish—he is excellent!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
