From the reviews
I’ve been visiting Water Lilly Wellness in Medford for a month now, seeing Ariel Stimson for acupuncture and cupping. I cannot express enough how transformative this experience has been. Ariel is truly exceptional at her craft.
Ariel gave me acupuncture and cupping and it was a great experience! She was very informative about everything that was happening during the whole project and paid attention to my specific needs. Definitely recommend to anyone who needs these services!
Kathia's acupuncture has helped me with multiple muscle issues, and I can always feel the results in real time. She uses a variety of tools and practices (needles, cupping, massage), and refuses to give up on my tight muscles! Her small practice is welcoming and covid-safe, and Kathia is a joy to be around.
I started seeing Lace for neuropathy, and I’ve already noticed improvements — not just with the neuropathy, but also my IBS, menstrual cramps, and back/neck pain. They listen closely to my needs and concerns, collaborate on a plan with me, and walk me through every step.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
