Why Water Lily Therapeutic Massage & Sauna is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “smooth, heated stones as an extension of their own hands, or by placing them on the body. The heat can be both deeply relaxing and help warm up tight muscles so the therapist can work more deeply, more quickly. Book Now Cupping Cupping…” source →

From the reviews

My partner and I moved here from Portland, and we were delighted to find Waterlily! I have had a massage with all 4 of the ladies that work there. They are all fantastic! I was hoping to hone it to one in particular therapist but it is so dang hard! They all have something special they offer.

I love every massage I get from Water Lily. I've seen various therapists, depending on who's available when I want to be seen. Each and every one of them is well-trained and very thorough. You won't be disappointed.

Exceptional massage for a very fair price. Most places I've been always overcharge then try to sell you a membership. I think $65 for 60 minutes with an experienced massage therapist will be the best deal around. Plus, it was quite easy to get an appointment!

★★★★★ — Hannah, Aug 2018

Recently started my professional massage therapy here and I truly appreciate Natasha’s efforts and professionalism she delivers. I’ve seen many masseuse in my lifetime and this is by far BEST experience I had! Please give her a raise ! God Bless

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
