From the reviews
I am a 65 year old nurse ( of 40 years). I swim regularly and am very cognizant of a healthy diet and lifestyle. Still, the aches and pains that were slowing me down, I just assumed to be normal aging. Then I went to go see Dr Portman at the middle of July 2020.
Dr Portman is by far the best Chiro I've ever been to. He is great at what he does but is even better at listening to what you need. I have gone to him when I can barely get out of bed in the morning, and before long he has me back up and running! Staff is friendly and helpful, scheduling is easy!
Doctor Portman. Is wonderful. Has really helped mine and my boyfriend pain. I recommend to anyone who has pain and wants to feel better
I was nervous about going to a chiropractor but was quickly put at ease by Dr. Portmann. Now I look forward to going. A few visits and am on the mend. Grateful for him helping me get back to the gym and feeling better. Highly recommend!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
