From the reviews

I'm at a desk all day staring at my computer at work, and I've noticed my neck is constantly tight and achy. I'm always making little adjustments and shifting my head to get more comfortable, and it probably just makes things worse. I had a session with Art, primarily on my neck the other day.

★★★★★ — Cheryl, Apr 2025

Highly recommend! I was having persistent neck and shoulder pain and after two sessions with Arthur have been symptom free for over two months. He is extremely knowledgeable, welcoming and professional. Training sessions are creative, fun and challenging.

★★★★★ — Chelsea, Apr 2024

I'm a corporate manager with a persistent travel schedule, and I also workout alot. In my first session I was carrying stress and pain in my neck and Art resolved the issue. Since then, I've been thrilled to continue monthly at his studio.

★★★★★ — Nicole, Mar 2026

I found Art through reviews on google and he does live up to the 5 start reports. He is very knowledgable and addressed my condition which is bursitis very skillfully in just the right degrees, step by step. His fee is very fair and it is convenient to have him right here in Waltham! I will use his practice again.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
