Everyone here is fantastic. I have had several acupuncture and cupping sessions with JP for mid back issues. I was very receptive to his care. Recently I herniated a disc in my lower back and met with Adam.
When a previously herniated disc starting flaring up again, a dear friend recommended I go and see Dr. Wagner! After listening carefully to my past medical history, he had me do a few tests. He determined a course of treatment designed to help the specific discomfort I was experiencing in my low to mid back.
If you are of Social Security age and have played sports during your high school and/or college days, you should read this review. Many of us remember playing through the pain of injuries since it was the "macho" thing to do back then.
Adam Wagner is a miracle worker! I have gone to Adam Wagner several times in the last couple of years for my bad back. He healed me once after a bad horseback riding accident. It took a couple of months, but he brought me back to my old self again without surgery! My most recent injury was from carrying heavy 40 lb.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
