From the reviews

This was my first time ever doing PT. My doctor referred me to Valley Performance Physical Therapy in order to strengthen my shoulder which I have had problems with over the course of a year. The owner, Joe, was phenomenal.

Best place to be referred for PT, staff is amazing, Chantal front desk provides amazing service and will provide any information needed for appointments, Sonia is back staff and has an amazing sense of humor and will explain with detail what needs to be done for your work outs and makes them easier to comprehend.

I love Valley Performance Physical Therapy. I have come here twice now. I loved coming to my appointments! I always felt at home joking with Sonia and Ben! Sonia really knows how to explain how to do the exercises well. Ben always made me feel human and cared for. Love Chelsea DPT too! She does a great job.

I was referred to Valley Performance Physical Therapy by the surgeon who repaired my torn rotator cuff. I was very happy with the service I received. I received therapy from a student who was doing his clinical hours before taking his state exam to be a Physical Therapist and he was absolutely wonderful!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
