…i also got cupping and to say i felt euphoric afterwards would be an understatement. neither the snow nor cold could put a damper on me after my 90 minutes. do yourself the favor and just book it.
I had a great experience at Urban Oasis. The location was easy to find, and the connected parking garage made it super convenient. The space feels calm and welcoming right from the start. The front desk team was kind and attentive, offering drinks and slippers while I waited.
I have been here twice and both experiences were great. The first time I think I had the steam shower and the 2nd I had the regular rain shower. The steam was better. I feel so bad that I forgot my masseuse’s name from the first time (he was great) but my 2nd time I had Clarice and she was amazing as well.
I have been to UA a few times over the years and always have a terrific experience. Summer is AMAZING- I have a very physical profession and she worked wonders on my body. I love that UA has a complimentary shower option after the service.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
