I can’t say enough about how amazing the care at Upright Spine Center was for my son today. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel comfortable and cared for. Dr. Amber Williams was incredibly professional, patient, and thorough.
Really great experience at Upright. From Jasmine at front desk, to Doctor Amber to Annabelle. Everyone here is so jovial and welcoming. I especially love it when the doctor EXPLAINSSSSS what things mean, their purpose and why they did/doing what they did. Side note: The office is super spacious and clean aesthetic.
It was my first time going to a chiropractor, a friend recommended it and as I’ve been feeling some pain and discomfort lately I decided to give it a try even when my mom told me not to because of the cracking of the bones myth. Staff is amazing. You are in very good hands with Dr. Williams.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
