From the reviews

I had a very relaxing time at Universal Wellness. The massage therapist really worked out the kinks in my neck and shoulders. I came out of my appointment feeling like Gumby I felt so good. If you are debating getting a massage as part of your wellness plan then I would suggest the debate is over. Choose yourself!

Every part of my experience with Universal Wellness has been excellent. Booking appointments is very easy, the staff is friendly and helpful and my massage with Audrey was easily the best and most effective I've ever had, she is very knowledgeable and was able to pinpoint and address the source of my neck pain.

I started taking yoga classes at Universal Yoga Center only a few months ago. I have degenerative disc problems as well as poor range of motion in my hips. In the last few months I have already felt improvement in my movements, all because of Audrey's care, compassion, and understanding of the body.

I love and respect yoga because of all its mind, body and spiritual benefits. I always want to encourage others to start their yoga journey because it is the fountain of youth and wellness for any age. I do all types and levels of yoga which all have their focus.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
