From the reviews
In 2010, I injured my right bicep at a local gym exercising. Went to an orthopedic doctor who said I would not be able to do any exercises with my right arm for approximately several weeks or more due to a slight tear. At the recommendation of one of the guys at the gym, I started coming to Dr. Ng’s office.
Simply put, I owe the large part of my bounceback in health over the last year to Dr. (Peter) Ng and Jen for their outstanding acupuncture and TCM work on three very adverse issues I was having (overall mental health, overall physical health, and a very badly sprained ankle sustained whilst teaching tennis).
Peter Ng has helped me for years, with all the sports and work he has managed to get me back on my feet every time! Amazing
Dr. Ew helped me walk again my pain was so bad in my lower back i could not even sit for a long time after one visit I was almost in no pain! Every case is different but I highly recommend United Acupuncture.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
