From the reviews
From the moment I walked into Under The Elder Tree for my perfume blending appointment, I felt at ease. The space is inviting and peaceful, with soft music that gently draws you into a state of relaxation and openness. Carrie welcomed me with a cup of Writer’s Tea to calm my mind and spark creativity.
This place is beyond extraordinary. The ambience is incredible. You can feel the light energy as you step in the door. The staff is always welcoming and ready to accommodate your needs. I have been coming here for the last few years for herbal tea and a few other things and I value their input and knowledge.
I didn’t catch the woman’s name, but I popped in for the first time today and I will absolutely be coming back. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely helpful. I bought an assortment of herbs and things and had a bunch of questions.
What an amazing store! So much to offer! My favorite is the large selection of tea! The owner and everyone who I have met who works there are fantastic! They talk to you and help you any way they can. I can say this is one of my favorite stores to visit and shop at.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
