From the reviews

Dr. Jacob is one of the best I’ve gone to for my back issues. He makes his patients feel comfortable and explains things in depth when needed. I went to multiple different people before Dr. Jacob and it was stressful having to explain the workouts I do and the training I follow however, Dr.

If you need a physical therapist that is super knowledgeable, down to earth and gives 110% every time he sees you, Dr. Retzer at Unbound Physical Therapy is the place to go. He works with my schedule to ensure I can get in to see him when I need to.

★★★★★ — Amy, Mar 2022

I highly recommend Unbound Physical Therapy. Dr Jacob Retzer is extremely knowledgeable and took time to listen to my concerns. He explained all exercises and treatments in detail and followed up with email instructions. Within weeks my lower back pain was virtually gone.

★★★★★ — Patty, Jan 2023

Dr. Retzer is an amazing physical therapist who has really taken the time to get to know me and my “problems”. Every session I feel like we make progress daily and have never felt progress like this before. I have been to several clinics around town and have not made progress like this.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
