From the reviews

I have worked with Julie in the past. I would recommend her to anyone. I have had three back surgeries in the last two years. After the doctors told me that another surgery was not an option and I might get better with time. I went to see Julie for 18 visits. The pain relief was almost immediate!

Julie Kay is incredible. I've seen her about a dozen times over the last year and she always amazes me by narrowing directly in on the pain, applying her talented technique, and releasing said pain. The worse it is, the more she can help, as you can show her the pinpoint spot/source easier.

★★★★★ — John, Jul 2015

Julie has changed my life. Before acupuncture, I would have to leave work immediately at the onset of a migraine, would get sick repeatedly for hours, and could barely function. No prescription helped, in fact, I think they made me more nauseous. I was desperate, so I contacted Julie on a friend's recommendation.

★★★★★ — Tamara, Jul 2016

I loved working with Julie! I would have stayed with her had I not moved out of state. I gave Julie a unique challenge in that I didn't have any kind of physical pain but rather suffer from auto-immune complications. Julie developed a treatment plan just for me and I felt relief almost immediately.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
