From the reviews
This is my second visit to TJ Massage, and once again, it was an amazing experience! The massage techniques are incredibly authentic, with just the right amount of pressure—strong and effective. I also tried cupping this time, and it was fantastic. The entire session was thorough, well-paced, and super relaxing.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at TJ Massage in Sandy Springs, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment I walked in, the facility was spotless, calming, and welcoming. Everyone there was genuinely kind and made me feel completely at ease. My massage therapist, Vicky, was phenomenal.
I have to share this because I was so pleasantly surprised—this was hands down one of the best massages I have ever had, and I have a lot of massages. From the outside, I’ll be honest… it’s a little misleading and even had me second-guessing for a moment. But the second you walk in, it is a completely different story.
⸻ I came across T and J Massage online and was impressed by the amazing reviews—so I had to check it out! While the outer appearance threw me off a bit, I’m so glad I went inside. It was peaceful, and the woman at the front was incredibly kind and pleasant—smiling the whole time.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
