I cannot recommend Thrive Accupuncture enough. Gina is absolutely amazing. She is kind, caring, and so attentive to my individual needs. Absolutely wonderful. Gina is knowledgeable, kind and caring. She helped me through a difficult pregnancy and I had the easiest labor after seeing her 1-2 times a week before my due date! She continues to help with any sports injuries I have. Pricing of sessions is reasonable and often covered by insurance.
If you want actual results in pain management go here. I have been through it all since a neck injury I sustained at work and other than cortisone shots and physical therapy this is the only place that has offered any relief. Gina is a mircle worker! I can't recommend them enough.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
