From the reviews
Michael is great at what he does with acupuncture. He is very easy to talk to and explains what he is doing in a clear and detailed way so that I can understand how he is treating my symptoms. His use of massage and cupping in addition to the acupuncture is excellent.
I had an amazing experience with Thrive Acupuncture & Wellness! I've been having hip pain for several months and all other methods of relief have not worked, until I found Michael! After one session, I've noticed relief and I have three more sessions scheduled.
I’ve been coming here for a few years now- first for help with migraines, then shoulder and back pain. Recently for help with a pinched nerve. He’s also done cupping and various other techniques to help with pain. Michael is kind and listens and I always leave feeling better. Highly recommend Thrive Accupunture!
Wasn't sure what to expect as my coworkers have suggested I go for years... It was fantastic. I had injured my shoulder so we focused on that area with not only Acupuncture, but also some cupping. Relaxing, and Mick puts your mind at ease. Would definitely recommend trying it.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
