From the reviews

Veronica impressed me immediately with her ability to assess & approach the appropriate level of care I needed for my visits. She also carefully chooses different methods when working with patients. I especially like it when she combines acupuncture with cupping.

I’ve been an acupuncture patient for over 15 years and recently became Veronica’s client. I had selected her above others for her extensive and continuing education and herbal knowledge.

My daughter and I have been going to Whole Point for close to 2yrs. We have been treated for a variety of things: insomnia, migraines, menstrual cramps, anxiety, depression, chronic back pain, nerve pain, and the common cold. We look forward to every visit and feel so much better when we head out the door.

Veronica is an excellent acupuncturist! I have a very complex illness and she always easily adapts to my current health needs. I have been to acupuncturist in the past that are very formulaic, doing the same points for everyone that have headaches etc. Formulaic acupuncture never worked well for me.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
