From the reviews

The epitome of any spa experience — having iced towels in the wet area. Fancy! Speaking of this spa, it’s definitely the fanciest I’ve been to in the States. Spacious, clean, and organized to satisfy even the most OCD guests. The drinks selection includes water, infused water, two types of juices, snack and fruit.

My daughter and I recently had our annual Mother/Daughter weekend at Pinehurst. We enjoyed the spa on Saturday. We both had two services - massages and body scrubs. The services were excellent! All of the spa staff were friendly and took great care of us. We loved the complimentary smoothies!

My partner and I had an incredible experience at Pinehurst Spa for a couples massage. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely welcome and at ease. The environment was peaceful, clean, and beautifully designed to promote relaxation.

I felt the spa was amazing and relaxing. I had wonderful massage. I just wish was 60 minutes instead of 50 minutes. The place was packed today but was amazing. I got deep tissue massage.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
