From the reviews
Dr. Woodard-Hampton is the best acupuncturist I've ever visited, she'll have you right as rain in no time!!! Ask her about her cupping service. She doesn't advertise it but she's the best in the world at it!!
This year, I was made aware that the VA had started offering acupuncture service to veterans. The first acupuncture treatment I had ever experienced, years ago, the doctor stated to me that “God created our bodies to self-heal. That’s has stuck with me ever since.
This place is amazing! Dr. Brittany Woodard-Hampton is such a great doctor. She made me feel very relaxed, listened to what I'm going through physical and mentally, and was very helpful on understanding acupuncture (and issues I wasn't aware of).
I needed PMS & Perimenopause symptom relief badly. I tried every kind of Dr, my own google searches, menopause groups and my symptoms continued to disrupt my life. As a last ditch effort, I sought out acupuncture because I had done it many times before but in other states.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
