From the reviews
I began my treatment at The Om Acupuncture Wellness a few months ago. My issue is chronic neck and shoulder pain that has plagued me for the past 5 - 6 years, during which I've tried many modalities for healing, including massage, dry needling, craniosacral therapy, physical therapy, and the list goes on and on.
I don’t usually write reviews, but I wanted to share my recent experience because the care I received was truly exceptional. About a month ago, I was crossing the street with the pedestrian signal when a car failed to notice me and I was hit.
I can’t say enough good things about The OM Acupuncture Wellness. The entire team truly listens and cares about your well-being, making all the difference. The environment is calm and welcoming from the moment you walk in. Whereas I used to dread going for acupuncture, I now look forward to it. Seeing Dr.
I continue to love OM Acupuncture. Dr Ko is absolutely wonderful! She’s personable, kind and extremely knowledgeable with her work. I first started with a micro needling appointment and now, I have become a regular patient with face acupuncture and fire cupping. Dr.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
