I had my first service with Celestine today at The Now in Plantation. We’ve been members for quite a while now and all the massage therapists are incredible. However, today I established a favorite in Celestine. From the moment she introduced herself, I felt completely at ease.
I had the Swedish massage plus a scalp renewal, & it was the best. Pauline was able to remove all the tension in my upper back & legs. The session was very relaxing.
I called The NOW Massage on a Saturday because I had a lot of tightness in my neck, and they were able to get me in with Robert the same day. I felt so much relief afterward, and the best part was that even though I had knots and tension in my neck, Robert’s technique never caused any discomfort.
I enjoy this location. It is very clean and the front desk is always kind and professional. The experience once you are inside the massage room really lights up all your senses. I go to Jen, who is wonderful!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
