From the reviews

Madeline is truly a miracle worker! I came to see her for manual lymphatic drainage after undergoing a tummy tuck. While my recovery was smooth, my surgeon did not place me in a compression garment nor give me any instructions on reducing the significant swelling in my abdominal area.

I highly recommend Madeline for lymphatic drainage massage sessions. Madeline has treated me fibromyalgia pain, stiffness, and inflammation using lymphatic drainage massage. The massages are relaxing and do not trigger the sharp pains I often get just from being touched.

Undoubtedly, Madeline and The Mission are such a blessing for any surgery patient. Through my treatment, reconstruction, and recovery processes, Madeline’s mission (an important assignment and religious vocation) was to help me heal. As her former cupping patient, I came to Madeline because I trusted her.

★★★★★ — Anita, Jul 2022

I came to Madeline for lymphatic massages to help with post op swelling from my tummy tuck and lipo. It was definitely the best decision I made in my recovery! I had major swelling and discomfort after my surgery, and Madeline and her magic cups were a life saver.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
