From the reviews

Nika is amazing. I first discovered her through prenatal yoga and have gone to her for acupuncture for different ailments for several years. Most recently I had a neck injury that she cured with cupping and acupuncture after I had tried many other things for over a month.

★★★★★ — Leah, Oct 2022

After my car accident, one of my doctors recommended that I start acupuncture to help manage my pain. One of my therapists specifically referred me to Luma Center, and I am so glad and thankful that I chose to go here. Both Naomi and Nicole are absolutely amazing!

★★★★★ — Karolina, Nov 2025

I had the BEST experience here with the prenatal yoga classes. Nika is amazing, and has such calming grounded energy. The space she holds feels so safe and the movement was perfect for all stages of pregnancy. She checks in with each person, and will tailor class to what your symptoms and struggles are that week.

★★★★★ — Molly, Aug 2024

The Luma Center has been one of my favorite places for pre and postpartum care, support, and yoga. Nika, the owner, creates an incredible experience that is welcoming and supportive. Earlier this year I started acupuncture for the first time. Nike was very helpful and walked me through the entire process.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
