From the reviews
I went to see Cosimo for neck issues that I was dealing with from years of running. He gave me exercises that have gotten my neck muscles stronger and I’ve seen improvement in my posture as a result. Cosimo really cares about me getting better. He regularly texts me to ask about my progress.
I came to The Injury Preventer with a painful condition several weeks ago. Several weeks later, my condition has improved significantly and I am feeling better each day. True to Dr. Carrieri’s words, no two sessions are the same. He is with me the full session, coaching me through each exercise. Dr.
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Cosimo Carrieri! After suffering from a persistent Achilles tendon injury from running, I was feeling pretty discouraged. But from the moment I started working with Cosimo, everything changed. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and genuinely cares about his patients.
With the understanding that everyone’s body is completely different, know that the journey of healing is never linear. The process of figuring out if there’s a possible injury or the road to recovering from an injury itself is 100% based on the work you put out and who guides you in said journey.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
