From the reviews
As a student I've done hundreds of hours of observation in different physical therapy clinics and realized that the Athlete House was the best option, and the only I'd pay for. I came to David with knee pain and within a few visits I started noticing tremendous results! Every visit I was moving better and stronger.
100% recommend The Athlete House! I’ve done traditional PT and chiropractor and modifying workouts/decreasing intensity for my SI joint pain/low back pain with no results and telling me to stop running/working out.
Do you ever have those moments in life where you’re like, “oh, that’s how good it can get?” That’s how I felt after my first couple of dry needling sessions with David at The Athlete House. He was able to pinpoint the exact problem area and treat based upon his extensive knowledge of the body.
I highly recommend The Athlete House Physical Therapy. I initially came in for hip mobility issues and hamstring tendinopathy, but I’ve continued to rely on their team for other injuries and physical challenges as they arise.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
